Buen Ayre Records
Buen Ayre Records is a Finland-based platform and music label dedicated to contemporary and experimental music with acoustic instruments at its core.
Founded in 2025 by performer-composer Mercedes Krapovickas and composer–vocal artist Mareike Dobewall, the label focuses on the many ways instruments can be performed, extended, and reimagined. Each release explores the intimate dialogue between performer, instrument, and sound — from solo works to collective explorations — offering space to listen anew and engage deeply with sound.
Rather than focusing on genre, Buen Ayre Records centers the instrument itself: its resonance, its breath, and its evolving possibilities.
The name Buen Ayre (“good air”) evokes connection across geographies, traditions, and futures, and reflects the label’s commitment to openness, curiosity, and care — including the intentional amplification of women’s voices in music.
