Bandoneon Avantgarde

Bandoneon music is usually connected with tango tradition, where bandoneon players could develop their playing techniques. Many composers and artists outside the tango world have been attracted to the bandoneon because of its sound and its possibilities. In the sixties, many avantgarde composers have composed pieces for it exploring sound possibilities that are not that frequent in tango music. 

The aim of this project is to bring these pieces alive again. I compile, perform and record some of the pieces. I also get inspiration to compose interpretations using some of the composition's guidelines.
