B-Nature / Concrete Energy
B-Nature / Concrete Energy is a two-sided release exploring contrasting sonic ecosystems through the bandoneon.
Side A: B-Nature (with composer Mareike Dobewall) emerges from scores rooted in deep listening to natural phenomena — lichen, falling leaves, ice, shifting textures of the environment. These scores function as invitations: open, tactile, and responsive. Through close collaboration, the bandoneon becomes breath, friction, and resonance — translating the movements of the more-than-human world into sound.
Side B: Concrete Energy is a solo work by Mercedes Krapovickas, where the bandoneon meets electronics in a raw and playful dialogue. Rhythmic, distorted, and layered, the piece listens to the city as a living pulse — an attempt to play the urban through an expanded instrument.
Two sides of the same resonating body:
one shaped by soil, silence, and organic textures;
the other by concrete, cables, and electric intensity.
Between them, a body listens — and plays.
